FC22 beta
Hi,I also tried the latest rawhide beta. This one has X11 support.
See this procedure.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Architectures/ARM/Rawhide/Installation
For installing uboot mount the sd card on a linux PC then do
sudo dd if=/tmp/root/usr/share/uboot/BananaPi/u-boot-sunxi-with-spl.bin of=/dev/<media-location> bs=1024 seek=8 conv=fsync,notrunc
Good luck! Frans @FransHave you finished FC22 beta? Steven, I did install FC21 a few weeks ago. See an earlier post in this group.
This works like a charm, but FC21 does not yet support the sunxi gfx driver so there is GUI; one can only access the board through ssh or through a serial cable.
FC22 will be released on May 19. 2015. See for the schedule: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/22/Schedule
rawhide is the bleeding edge of Fedora; actually officially it is not even a beta.
The rawhide version does already support the sunxi gfx. I got a nice X gui (although startup was a bit slow, I used a x667 SDHC card, need to try from SATA or USB hard disk later) Cool!
do you really need the serial cable? i want to get Ahami running on my orange pi Langoor, missed your message, serial will not be needed once this is completed.
(then again serial is only a few dollars on ebay)
I'm not far enough yet that I need beta testers, but I will announce when I do.
At that point serial will not be needed (but maybe you do need hdmi monitor and keyboard, still investigating if a headless system with ssh access only would be ok) FYI: Fedora yesterday release the beta for FC22. I've been able to do a small test with it. HDMI is working;
I was able to boot and get the gui and use my keyboard.
Procedure to get it working is similar to what I posted before on the alpha, and for FC21.
Will provide details later. FransM replied at 2015-4-22 08:02

waiting for your news!!
is video hardware accelerated?
No idea if the video is HW accelerated. Not even sure how I can find out.
But I did manage to boot several of the beta images; at the moment seeing if I can boot from a USB hard disk (don't have a decent sata disk handy)
