An exhibition area
The following year, another MOU was signed with China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), whose main focus was on constructing buildings that would house government ministries and agencies, as well as the president's office. The Chinese planned to construct a new administrative capital, 12 ministerial buildings, a convention center, and an exhibition area at an estimated cost of US $45bn. It is likely that this would serve as the nucleus from which the rest of the city would grow as demand grows for other amenities like housing and shopping.
