Manjup post at 2016-5-2 13:47:58

1. Download this for PI Plus :http://simplenas.com/download/orange-plus
2. Write to SD card
3. Download respective image from http://www.armbian.com/download/
4. Write the OS to other SD card.
5. just replace the script.bin and uimage form /boot folder of armbian installed SD card and copy to Openmedia vault SD card.
6. It works and i have tested with ORANGE PI One.

Orange Pi PC.
-
After booting from the flash card image Openmediavault appears prompting you to enter Login.
Enter does not work, because the USB keyboard does not work.
Network after startup does not work, as during startup it pop`s up a message about failing to configure the network.

How do I start OMV?

The source code works on Debian Linux.
On Armbian you can install OMV.
Sources are ..
https://github.com/openmediavault/openmediavault
" ryecoaaronOMV 3.x is ready depending on which plugins you use. If you already have jessie installed, then you just:

[*]echo "deb http://packages.openmediavault.org/public erasmus main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/openmediavault.list
[*]apt-get update
[*]apt-get install openmediavault-keyring postfix
[*]apt-get update
[*]apt-get install openmediavault
[*]omv-initsystem
"

I have tried like Manjup said without any success:
I replaced the script.bin and uimage files from /boot folder of armbian OS:
-The script.bin file was easy to find (in /boot/bin/orangepipc.bin). So I replaced it (renamed to script.bin) into simplenas for PI plus OS.
-But the uimage file wasn't as easy. I guessed it was the uInitrd-3.4.113-sun8i file. So I replaced it (renamed to uimage) into simplenas for PI plus OS.
The result: like Sir_OPiPC said:
"After booting from the flash card image Openmediavault appears prompting you to enter Login.
Enter does not work, because the USB keyboard does not work."
I tried with vmlinuz-3.4.113-sun8i too (instead of uInitrd-3.4.113-sun8i file), but any success yet.

I have tried the yogibear method too (installing OMV 3.x on a clean armbian), but no success again. All the steps were ok, until the last one (omv-initsystem), where I got the "Command not found" message.

Anyway, I prefer to install OMV 2.x (Stone burner version), until a final version of OMV 3.x (Erasmus) get released.
Have somebody gotten the OMV 2.x working?

Thanks in advance.

I've solved installing Armbian_5.27_Orangepipc_Debian_jessie.
Openmediavault is an optional software availabre in armbian-config.
It install 3.0.79 Erasmus version that works great and fast.

Thanks
