Orange Pi 5 + Ubuntu 22.04 + Remote Desktop/VNC

Hi,

If I read the manual correctly, then Ubuntu 22.04 is not working for remote access with a desktop from Windows, i.e. VNC or Remote Desktop.

Does anyone have a remote desktop from Windows working ? Either remote desktop or any of the VNC flavours eg tight, etc on Ubuntu 22.04 (Jammy) ?

What I really want is good GPU performance and Remote Desktop Access - so I dont mind really if I can use 22.04 or 20.04 Ubuntu - am I right in assuming the best GPU performance is with using Ubuntu 22.04 (Jammy), as I ran the glmark2 benchmark and got a score of 1617 with this setup, compared to a score of 200 with Armbian. Would the previous Ubuntu LTS 20.04 (Focal) also give a similar GPU glmark 2 score to 22.04 ?

If Ubuntu 20.04 would be just as good GPU wise than has anyone got that working with remote desktop access from Windows ?

Thanks.

I am also trying hard to test this function, but still have no success. Have you tested it in any way, using xrdp?

After my many efforts in testing, I found that there is such information in the error log, such as there is a problem with the HDMI output driver, but I don’t know how to solve it yet.
