I've merged the v1.0.21 OTA Zidoo X1 with the v1.0.19 image, changed the host file to block hardware authentication, and changed the sys_config.sys (and the associated boot0 and u-boot) to make all USB ports work for OPI-PC as well as lowered the clock settings to keep the heat low.

The v1.0.21 firmware has KODI 15.2 from Zidoo.

Latest version (power button fixed):https://mega.nz/#!UgZnARoK!d2sTNayflCvjne_Lbs1BDiFrtyb_ke-dDdAR2FW3Yzw
Older version:

Instructions: Download the image, use PheonixCard to burn to a good SD card. The first boot takes some time, just be patient.

You can disable the IR port by unloading the driver module (in terminal type the command rmmod sunxi_ir_rx) or by deleting the content of the ir config file wihch is /system/usr/keylayout/sunxi-ir.kl.
The first option is not permennant but the second is.

To the author of this image:
Please modify the config file of the image again and add the folowwing:
[wifi_para]
wifi_used             = 1
wifi_sdc_id           = 1
wifi_usbc_id          = 1
wifi_usbc_type        = 1

This enables usb wifi adapters based on rtl8188 chip. Currently the image is set to wifi_used  = 0 wifi_usbc_id = 5 and usb wifi does not get activated.

I didn't touch the Kodi of this rom, so it's the same default as Zidoo has. You may get better answer from Zidoo's user forums.

littlestone, I've just burned SD card. Are you sure all USB ports work?
My results are:
- single vertical - doesn't work at all
- lower horizontal - works like in old Zidoo - HID and pendrive
- higher horizontal - only HID works, pendrive doesn't work
What are the differences between this image and previous v19 from Android side?

v19 had very high clock rate, and I remember the upper USB didn't work at all. So I put together sys_config.fex with USB settings from Debian for OPI-PC and the lower clock settings of dvfs from bronco's. The same settings work in Beelink' v205. I've uploaded it as attached.

So if a device isn't recognized, it's likely Zidoo changed how it's handle inside its v21's Android.

Also with CPU clock is something wrong. Zidoo V19 was clocked from 480 to 1200 MHz. This one starts from 648 MHz. Tested with A1 CPU Tool.
Temperature in idle is higher than 60C. V19 was cooler.

Just checked your fex file:

[dvfs_table] seems to be wrong.

it should be:

  1. [dvfs_table]
  2. pmuic_type = 2
  3. pmu_gpio0 = port:PL06<1><1><2><1>
  4. pmu_level0 = 11300
  5. pmu_level1 = 1100
  6. extremity_freq = 1296000000
  7. max_freq = 1200000000
  8. min_freq = 480000000
  9. LV_count = 7
  10. LV1_freq = 1296000000
  11. LV1_volt = 1320
  12. LV2_freq = 1200000000
  13. LV2_volt = 1240
  14. LV3_freq = 1104000000
  15. LV3_volt = 1180
  16. LV4_freq = 1008000000
  17. LV4_volt = 1140
  18. LV5_freq = 960000000
  19. LV5_volt = 1080
  20. LV6_freq = 816000000
  21. LV6_volt = 1020
  22. LV7_freq = 480000000
  23. LV7_volt = 980
Copy code
Also boot clock could be 1008.

Thanks, cbm80, I think I took the dvfs part from one of the many test versions and didn't realize it was not the latest. Uploading the repacked version now.
