Hi @TheLinuxBug,

Very appreciate on your work, that's a great idea to make it as an installer instead of a raw image.

Just wondering, is there any reason to keep the partitions structure intact?

I mean, seems there are too many unknown purpose partitions while we actually needed only some of them:
/boot, /cache, /system, /data, and /userdata partitions (+ may be /recovery partition),
can we change the structures by also manage initial boot and mounting scripts at boot.cmd and ramdisk?

Just curious, whether we can adopt the partition structures on AndroidX86,
it use only a single partition with mount-bind command on /cache, /system, and /data inside its ramdisk scripts,
with this single partition, we can easily put some linux distributios on a one storage device,
imagining multiboot Android+Ubuntu/Debian/RetrOPie+Open/LibreElec in one microsd card,

Btw, I've done my own multi-boot Ubuntu/Debian/RetrOPie and Open/LibreElec by manipulating boot.cmd on Armbian image,
but having trouble with OPi Android partition structure, especially on boot partition,
and based on your work (thx anyway), itu would be easier to me to step forward make Android as one of my multi-boot linux OSes...

at first it was for keeping things simple. and yes, i have an entry in TODO to reduce partition count to 2. also, right now there is a way to boot to partition 6 (which can hold alternative os) when you long-press power button at uboot stage. and since i've dropped whole dragonflasher thingie and used mainline uboot, you can easily multiboot to whatever you like

Hello @marine88

Version 1.2.5 supports a wide variety of USB dongles and SDIO based wifi cards.  You would need to test it your self to be sure.

If you would like us to assist you with creating an image you can burn with tools such as dd or win32diskimager, etc you can stop by our IRC channel and when available some one will try to help you with creating an image for you if you are unable to run the installer your self.

To All:

We would really appreciate any feedback you guys can provide on version 1.2.5 so as we work to complete version 1.2.6 and push it out for testing we can fix as many issues as possible.  If you have time to help with testing of new images we ask that you stop by our IRC channel and let us know and we will tell you how you can help!

Thanks again for all your support!

Cheers!

if/when i get enough motivation i'll hack ir-sunxi.ko to allow dynamic scancodes to teach it. right now it passes all codes without any modifications (useful for testing your remotes with evtest)

Hello All!

A little later today we should be releasing 1.2.6 and based on feedback we should have a version 1.2.7 out next week for those doing testing ( Rescue menu system, and new features!).

Updates / Changes in version 1.2.6:
- Fixed samba browser in Filemanager
- Predexed build (first boot should be faster)
- Added checks for required tools
- Changed 672->624 for dram in opi+2e and opi+ fexes
- Workarounds for systemd/automounter
- Added opipcplus u-boot
- Started testing for FriendlyArm NanoPi M1 (fex available and can be used with opipc u-boot)

We will update again here in a few hours once we have had time to make sure its pushed out to all our CDN locations and it will be available for the weekend!

Please be sure to test and provide feedback as well as join us on IRC to discuss any issues you may have, so we can work to fix more bugs in version 1.2.7!

More to come later...

Cheers!
