Updated to latest git changes and added 8189ftv wifi

for most h3 boards

I've tried this new build and there are definitely improvements. Now high resolution h264 videos play, but with a lot of glitches, like green squares and blinking frames. Also after playing some videos the hardware acceleration stops working completely and I have to reboot to test it again. This is still much better than before, we are getting closer to a fully working build

Thats what I mean, I used the git sources you posted earlier.

Seems like LibreEletc and bootlin are both missing orangepi uboot loader files.

@hostkit thanks for trying

So for the lite and 2e the wifi is working and included only thing to do is make it proper.

@deltaray you are wrong the bootlin libreelec has no kernel or uboot like they say in the text and the jernej libreelec is with kernel and uboot. ad you still didn't read  this topic or build from jernej git

Erm yes I did, now you didnt read!

I only confirmed that bootlin/libreelec github has no bootloaders for OrangePI.

And I have successfully build Images from jernejsk / aw_hw_dec branch and replaced LibreElec repo url with my own in order to test and use addons!

so what is your review of the current state of the new driver? is it ready for daily use?

I saw new commits in aw_hw_dec branch from jernejsk repo, so I compiled it again to test it. Unfortunately, it still doesn't work properly. As in the other build I tried, hardware acceleration fails when playing high resolution videos, but now it's even worse, because most of the videos keep buffering or shows a black screen. In case it's useful for anyone, these are the errors shown in dmesg when this happens:

  1. [  170.876309] cma: cma_alloc: alloc failed, req-size: 256 pages, ret: -12
  2. [  170.876330] cedrus 1c0e000.video-codec: dma_alloc_coherent of size 1048576 failed
Copy code

Or with another video:
  1. [  115.006695] cma: cma_alloc: alloc failed, req-size: 574 pages, ret: -12
  2. [  115.006723] cedrus 1c0e000.video-codec: dma_alloc_coherent of size 2351104 failed
Copy code
