All my work is for free (well, I've got OPI-PC and OPI-PLUS for testing...)
I'm in absolutely no w ...

You would be suprised, there is totaly different market in Shenzen. I was looking for OV5640 camera modules and found that in larger quantities they could sell for less than 8 USD (You said that it costs 18 USD). But when I talked to Tom Cubie - CEO of Radxa, he said it is far too much ...

I think that they make some profit on Orange Pi PC- at least 7 USD maybe. But this is probably not enough to start professional software development (like Raspberry Pi Foundation).

@ ALL  Maybe we should consider DONATING loboris for his job here ??? Then we could ask him to prepare the kernel for us with things which all of us want? We could donate 10-30 USD each, maybe it would be amount of money considering him to spend some more time on developing the kernel for us?

@loboris What do you think about that?

My biggest problem is: kswapd0 often needs 100% cpu usage. I try to use swap space but I dont have a ...

I'm also having the kswapd0 issue even though I have plenty of free RAM and no swap set-up. As a temporary fix you can issue the following, but the problem soon returns.
  1. echo 1 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches
Copy code

@Loboris: Any idea?

What I can do for OrangePi is determined mostly by my (very limited) free time, any donation is welcome, but it can't influence that.
And I'm in no way an expert in kernel programming. I do have some knowledge, I can fix, change, modify some things, but not much more.
My main work is in designing and programming specialized microcontroller devices, communications and database design.
I think OrangePi has very good quality/price ratio, and I'll continue to make my best to make it more usable.

Count me also in for a 5 THz HexadecaZilla KillerCore, 4 TB RAM DDR9 memory and fiber optic network  ...

Dont be silly, my goal was achievable, and also good for marketing. ODROID-XU4 contains 2GB ram and usb3 interface wich is really nice, ddr3 ram chips isn't to exensive so we could make a beter mini computer for affordable price.
Usb2 sata converter is a joke, so thast why we should use usb3 interface for hdd performance reason.

Nope. Plenty of RAM available and still having the kswapd0 issue. For me it is triggered when performing intensive I/O on my USB external hard drive.
