is it means I need another module?

try disabling networkmanager if you manually want to set up or configure a connection.

also check if firmware was loaded correctly (see my previous note about udev version)

Hi Loboris,

I got an error message when creating a rootfs.

Sorry, there was a bug in format.sh script when creating the root fs directly in the image file.
I usualy create the rootfs in local directory, then I use image_from_dir script to prepare the image file.

The bug is fixed now on GitHub.

I installed Ubuntu Mate Vivid image and replaced uImage, script.bin, kernel and modules with scriptbin_kernel.tar.gz. Then I updated ubuntu to willy and made server. All worked fine for about a week but suddenly I noticed that my Orange Pi Plus CPU is very hot and slow. Top showes that kswapd0 uses 100% of all CPU cores. It happens regularly. How to solve this problem? I read that it is very common problem in all architectures and another kernel may help. Is there any kernel for it to try? 3.4.39 is very old.
loboris, I found that this kernel doesn't support zRam. It may be very useful since most Orange Pi have only 1 GB of RAM.

Hello guys!

I got my Opi in the last week. But I'm really disappointed. I read loboris' articles to make work debian on my Opi but I haven't done it yet. First I downloaded the orangepi_jezzy image from mega and the scriptbin_kernel.tar.gz, too. I had the most advance when I didn't change anything is the BOOT drive. The debian booted and I was on the log screen. Unfortunately only my mouse worked, I couldn't use my keyboard. After that I copied the newest script.bin and Uimage. And when I did the opi stop working before loaded the log screen. I tried several ways to solve this problem but I couldn't. I've tried to delete all files from the boot partition and copied  only the script.bin and uimage, Tried several system.bin files, and nothing couldn't help me. I've got a message "unmemorable (or unemurable) device on usb port1, and there the boot process stop. Do you have any idea what can cause this problem? I have an orange pi pc v1.2.

I hope somebody has an idea what can be the problem is.

Thanks,
Npeti

...

do:
udevd --version

output needs to be  "215" in order for firmware loading to work with this 3.4 kernel.
There have been a lot of reports about firmware loading problems in this topic, so best is to do a search which distributions work and which don't.
