Thanks for your help.

I built the 3.4.103 kernel from lemaker with the files that you provided. I then replaced u-boot and the 3.4.90 kernel / modules on the lubuntu image to verify it.

The display resolution is better. However, the Wi-Fi module is not detected:
  1. # lsusb

  2. Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
  3. Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
  4. Bus 001 Device 002: ID 1a40:0101 Terminus Technology Inc. 4-Port HUB
  5. Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Copy code

Do I need to compile an additional kernel module?

Hi Steven,

I now have things pretty much under control. The last problem that I have is that the Ethernet adapter is not functional when I use the arch kernel. I want to verify that they have compiled in the right driver. Can you let me know the vendor/model of the Ethernet adapter use on the OrangePi?

Thanks!

Never mind, I found it: Realtek RTL8211E.

I will try to find out if their kernel is compiled with the correct Realtek PHY support in /drivers/net/phy/realtek.c
