After my post I did try this solution:

Editing asound.conf:
sudo pluma /etc/asound.conf
and replacing 'card 1' by 'card 0' (1 sets HDMI as audio output) in both, pcm.!default and ctl.!default
then reboot

Not sure if is a poorly academic solution but it works. I would have to change again when needing HDMI audio output...

Any suggestions?

Hello,
i think that tutorial should be a bit straightforward.

  I start i have only downloaded Debian image from Mega server, because i though that these links are only for make image from linux and contains some wget script to get image,
it was wrong.

Only for your info, after boot i got this:
   My 2 genius keyboards werent working with image - Orange mini PC, mouse is working, but i got lots of error messages during boot, before i got logon screen.

  So right steps are - download a image, extract it, write it on sd card through Win 32 disk image - from Windows and download specific files from links and extract them and write them into sd card root.
  Password is : "orangepi"  , not share.

But im still getting still errors during boot - at least keyboard is now working.

Im curious isnt possible just detect which OrangePI model is used during the boot and make scripts and image universal?

  I know, i know.. im greedy, but would be nice to add to this image:
- Kodi
- Quake 3 demo - through IOquake
- some more emulators
- Dosbox
- Firefox - best browser because of power of plugins
- better welcome screen with preselected username or combobox for usernames

hey jacer,

I ran the glmark2 on your system. it gives out a score of 5 (on my working debian testing system the score is 4, however there are tons of background jobs running, the cpu is about 15% busy all the time).

OpenGL Info ist:
Vendor: Mesa Project
Renderer: Software Rasterizer
Version: 2.1 Mesa 10.3.2

To me it looks like there is something strange. Software Rasterizer doesn't sound like gpu at all.
It also throws a lot of libGL errors:
MESA-Loader: malformed or no PCI ID, unable to load driver: mali_drm_dri.so, driver pointer missing and failed to load driveR: mali_drm)

It would also probably be a good idea to increase the standard 80mb for the gpu to something like 192mb, since there is enough ram for a decent linux. And Retroarch really needs every bit of gpu ram it gets...

glmark2 can be downloaded and installed with this:

I'm preparing an image of this distribution for orangepi plus for educational purposes based on Linux MAX developed in Madrid, Spain, for public schools.

Well, my problem is that I cannot install libreoffice, tried several ways but always find broken packages dependencies:

Any advice? Is it a cuestion o time to be resoved this problem?
Shoud I try another Debian distribution?
LibreOffice is an important component in this educational composition, I cannot continue and publish  without it...

Have you tried to install it through GUI? (package manager)

Tried synaptic, apt-get and aptitude. All of them gave me he same error about broken packages.
