Who is the future? X86 / X64 versus ARM

I think in the long run, ARM will prevail.

The only one who still clings to X86 is Intel (30years monopolist).
All other big hardware manufacturer building or develop now based on ARM. eg  AMD with the new Server Cpu (Seattle) processor.

Due to the significantly better efficiency, this technology will spread more and more in the desktop area.

Even Microsoft is now venturing with RT or W10 at ARM

In my view, the future seems to favor ARM over X86/X64 architecture. While Intel has held a virtual monopoly in the X86 space for over three decades, many other prominent hardware manufacturers are now shifting their focus towards ARM-based designs. For instance, AMD's introduction of the Server CPU, codenamed "Seattle," built on ARM salesforce admin architecture, highlights the growing interest in ARM's efficiency advantages.

ARM's superior power efficiency is a significant factor driving this shift, making it increasingly appealing not only in server environments but also in the desktop arena. Even Microsoft has made strides by developing versions of Windows, like Windows 10 and Windows on ARM (formerly Windows RT), optimized for ARM-based devices.

In summary, the momentum appears to be in ARM's favor due to its efficiency advantages, and it seems likely that ARM will continue to gain traction in various computing domains. However, technology is constantly evolving, and the landscape can change, so it will be interesting to see how this competition unfolds in the years to come.
