I installed offical raspbian from "www.orangepi.org/downloadresources"
It work. After I found (wpa_gui) wifi applicaion in prog files. and I worked it.
Application  has not found wifi, list is empty!!
Are there any settings to activate for wifi?

Network list and adaptor list are empty.
Scan result is empty.

Note:I using LXDE desktop.

Other Question:

You are welcome to stick with "official" images, but remember that they are full of bugs / security flaws and won't get any updates, fixes or support. They are marketing tool - "hey look Ubuntu, Debian and Raspbian is working here. Great". In this term it's a general issue, not specific for Orange Pi. No one but broader community can provide decent support for those boards. Armbian is the answer to those problems. It's a real distribution with daily development.

Do I have to use ARMBIAN for wifi?

You could solve wifi on it but soon you will encounter yet another and another problem.

The wifi system is working with armbian.
I thought the official orangepi site files worked fine.
I was hoping some of the systems would at least work properly. (Wifi, bluetooth,GPOI, etc) without special setting. Raspbian was the disappointment for me.

What is your best solution for Java applications?

Raspbian on Raspberry Pi and Raspbian on other boards has not much in common since kernel support is essential, not the package - front look, desktop icons, ...

You won't believe how much work is behind to sort all / most of things. You can check our Github and commit logs if you are curious:
https://github.com/igorpecovnik/ ... ernel/sun8i-default (just legacy kernel)

What is your best solution for Java applications?

I don't use Java but I assume you should proceed the same way as on any Debian / Ubuntu.

  1. I waiting next update (for wifi)

You won't get any (real) updates on Raspbian or any other system from download section. Their core functionality (kernel) hasn't been changed since first build - only user space gets updates.

I think if Raspbian same Debian or Armbian, can use this topic for enable wifi on OPI PC+.
https://forum.armbian.com/index. ... t-to-wifi-networks/

Enable Wifi
sudo nano /etc/modules-load.d/modules.conf
before 8189 clear the #
Ctrl+O, Enter, Ctrl+X

The MAC address change after reboot. Need write a permanent MAC address.
sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/8189fs.conf
options 8189fs rtw_initmac=00:e0:4c:f5:16:d6
Ctrl+O, Enter, Ctrl+X

It working form me on Debian 8.
