Hello.

I'm looking at buying the 4G board but i can't find any good documentation on some hardware requirements.

Can the HDMI display output be changed to another resolution?
what resolutions are frame rates are supported?

What exactly is the built in LCD interface and what does it support for resolution? does it ONLY take Orange Pi's display?
If it can support other displays what format, pinout, voltage etc?

I understand that the board cannot be powered through the OTG port, and instead has its own plug.
Can it also take power thropugh the 5 volt pins on the GPIO or ONLY the power plug?

What are the battery requirements / compatability for the built in Battery IC? Type, capacity, max discharge?

This infomation is all quite importand for designing a project I have in mind.

The HDMI resolution can be changed by altering the code in the Linux device driver for the chip.  The chip does support normal 720P and 1080P. The existing device device does not support normal modes. The current driver outputs 720P at 48Hz which is a non-standard refresh rate. Only monitors with flexible syncing support will be able to lock onto it.  This HDMI driver code has been added to the Android source from Mediatak by OrangePi. HDMI support is not part of the Mediatek standard code since the MT6737 does not natively do HDMI.

AFAIK OrangePi does not sell a display that matches the MIPI display connector on the 4G-IOT board.  The MT6737 can support a fairly wide range of display, but you have to do programming in the Linux to make them work.

The schematics are in the same download with the manual.

Note that the product description for the LTE bands has been updated and support for US bands has been removed.

The board can't be powered through the OTG power because you have to disable OTG to make the normal host ports work (J5). So there has to be some other means to power the board. Plus it draws too much current.  This is because there is a single USB port on the MT6737.

Hy how can i gent the 720p with 60hz on the android 6.0 or the 8 ?? Can you change it ??
