Hi, I need to send commands via IR interface either to a OPi zero plus or a PC2. I tried with both Buster and Bionic. In both cases I can send signals to the IR interface (I can see feedback from the OPi with either "mode2" or "irrecord" cmds), but "irw" and "evtest" (in the last phase "Testing ... (interrupt to exit)") do not react to any key.
If you were successful, please, share with me the correct procedure.
Many thanks!

I have the same problem to see if theres any input with irw / evtest.

With irrecord -f I can see it registres input but when I shall make new KEY_0 I get error.

Please enter the name for the next button (press <ENTER> to finish recording)
KEY_0

Now hold down button "KEY_0".
Something went wrong: Signal length is 2
That's weird because the signal length must be odd!
Please try again. (28 retries left)

I have tested with three different IRC.

Tbc with testing searching for solutions.....
