Hello,

Yesterday I've received 2x Orange Pi PC. I took first one and insetred SD (with lubuntu), pluged power in and hdmi tv. Everythings worked perfectly for ... 4 minutes. When linux finnaly botted up, I logged into it and suddenly screen froze and some random pixels appeared. I cut the power off. CPU chip was very hot. After a while, I again connected the power, but board won't boot. Labolatory power supply indicated overload. By the time, I changed SD card and connected rs232. Now board seems to be booting(rs232), but it consumes about 2.5A and chip becomes hot very quickly even with radiator, so I have to cut off power after some seconds. Second board work ok with both SD card the same power supply. Have you got any idea, what's wrong with this board?

Thanks

If the board draws more than 2 A you probably have short circuit somewhere or defective part. Try to examine the board with magnifier and clean it with some alcohol and hard brush.
The "normal" curent is ~600 - 1200 mA.

I've checked and cleaned board but it's still the same. I guess chip has short circuit. I did some research. Board only boot, when chip is very hot 70-80C but still draw 2A. When I cool it, system freezes.
