1. and stop with the stupidity with a 40-pin GPIO-header when e.g. the H3 has a shitload more pins to offer -- route out all the available pins on the board, even if your product won't any longer be "Raspberry Pi - compatible!"

Totally agree!!! A good documentation with a beautiful picture of the standard header for H3 is perfect! Just pinout with a picture for visual! Non compatible with PI, what else the software is very different,,,maybe the dream of reuse shield from pi we can dream without I2C, SPi from user space!


Good news to OP PC stay alive, the beast one!
it's not very good for dev community (hardware problem repetition on forum, less time to dev I/O user space) with high rate of change board

Thanks for the update Steven, glad to hear you'll have more in stock.  I really love the OrangePi PC, I have started moving over a bunch of VM's to them and they really shine.  I'll be looking forward to getting 6 more on Feb 15th.  

Do you think you'll ever have the OrangePi PC with 2gb ram?

I would also be interested in OrangePi PCs with 2GB RAM. Would anybody be willing to guess how much more that would cost?

It is great the returns of the PC, but with the $15 price tag again. If higher, then it would  make more  sense to downgrade to the One or Lite. I will be waiting to try one.

I like the 40 pin headers because you can stick a standard IDE cable on it. I'd suggest just using multiple 40 pin headers if there is more to offer. What is a standard header for H3 that is being suggested as well?

There are a whole lot more pins than what they've routed out to the header. My point wasn't that they couldn't use 40-pin headers, my point was that they should route out all the available pins, even if it meant having multiple 40-pin headers on the board. It's stupid to arbitrarily limit the amount of pins to the same number as used on RPi when there are a lot more there that could be used. Why aren't e.g. the SDIO-pins brought out on the PC? If they were we could add WiFi-over-SDIO to the OPi PC later on when if we needed to and without having to use USB-ports for it.

I 'm not attached to raspberry's 40 pin header. A good gpio header , for me, will be a multiple 40pin (for ide cable) whith no mixed pin : A0 to A22 , C0 to C........

Is the 1.2 ver OPI-PC PCB stock fully sold out?

If that is the case could you please consider the below corrections/enhancements to the OPI-PC pcb:

1. Add ESD protection diodes to the HDMI. I see that it is there in other Orange Pi's including the cheapest OPI-ONE but omitted from OPI-PC.

2. Isolate the RTC backup battery line and  bring it as a Through-the-Hole so that a Dupont connector can be soldered by interested users. Wasting a functioning RTC in SoC like this is too bad since we already have everything including the 32khz crystal on board.
