Well, I bought the OPi PC as client to the TV, as it has hardware H.265 decoding, for just the tuner part I could use my existing RasPi. My PC has no hardware H.265 decoding, so the load is high. Or do you mean Kodi on Armbian? AFAIK, there is no Armbian with a 4.* kernel for OPi PC, at least www.armbian.com/orange-pi-pc/ offers only legacy kernel.

as far as i understood, you can upgrade the armbian to 4.x kernel but you might burn the cpu because thermal feedback is not implemented yet(? i might be wrong on this.) so they block the cpu speed to a lower value to save the cpu on 4.x kernel for now. i couldnt buy that risk yet, but i will try it when i find the time.

the 4.x kernel is used headless on opi-pc yet so my aim is to use opi pc to stream dvb over lan.

Alredy did in git, but it will take a while to come to prebuild image. If you are impatient, you can compile it yourself or use one of the CEC test images, which already include this change.

DVB is just video source. Your case doesn't mean that automatically everyone will have bad experience. Usually just boils down to codecs. I have higher hopes for open source ones, once they will be integrated, but this is another story.

Hi Jernej, many thanks for your work, I have RTL2832U DVB-T USB tuner and DVBSky S960 DVB-S2 tuner used by tvheadend, first one works perfect in latest git, for second one I found patch here https://github.com/vonfritz/meta ... -usb-receiver.patch and it works. Can you merge it, please?

Could somebody tell me which version works with Mygica t230.
I have tried this version from the first post but mygica is not recognized.

[  184.200067] usb 3-1: new high-speed USB device number 4 using sunxi-ehci
[  184.351195] usb 3-1: string descriptor 0 malformed (err = -61), defaulting to 0x0409

Also have tried af9015, and this one is working....

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I will answer to myself and others trying to make Mygica t230 to work.
Solution is to use  http://down.nu/images/2016-06-02/ with backported drivers.

The version from early June recognizes the stick and I can access tvheadend web interface, but sadly Kodi does not work with this tvheadend, which is 4.0 based. It does not show the video/audio. HEVC and DVB-T2, which I need is only supported with tvheadend 4.2. If you just need DVB-T, it might work.
