Nobody else reported any kind of issues, in fact in this thread you can see that wifi drivers were fixed. I will try to boot OpenELEC on Lite once I will have some time...

After receiving my Pi Lite a couple of days ago i was able to load the 2/6/2016 image and then patch with the 20/6/2016 patch. This seems to run fine for me with the testing i was able to do. I did come up with a couple of small issues but i dont think they are image related.

1. IT runs HOT. i get about 85c sitting at the menu's while on my PI PC i got around 60c doing the same with the same software ( the pc version image)

2. I was not able to see any video add ons when i added the MRKnow repository. but thats probably something im doing. seems to work fine on the PI PC.

With the  PI PC and the PI Lite i am very impressed , i have been able to get it to play everything i have thrown at it and get passthough audio and TV remote CEC from tv - amp - pi working fine.

Jernej, thanks heaps for all the hard work on these images. much appriciated.

1. what do you mean by 20/6/2016 patch?
2. do you have any heatsink attached to it? Those cheap "raspeberry pi heatsinks" are good start. Did you put your board in any kind of enclosure?
3. Not sure about repository. It could be some kind of version mismatch. Debug log should tell a bit more about that.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

the patch was a test image you released on the 21/6/2016 called "openelec-h3.arm-7.0-devel-20160620181827-r22863-g6ec458c.tar" that gave me the working cec. there was another one you made a couple of days later but someone said that it broke audio passthough from memory so i didnt run it. I know it wasnt an offical release but it works well for me.

yes i have a heatsink on it. i have the same heatsink on both boards. Its a small ram heatsink about the size of the chip and about 1cm high. Both boards are in the plastic case from the same supplier, purchased as a bundle with the power cable

where would i find the debug log? im pretty new to all this. (but again, i don thtink this is your problem, i only mentioned it cause it worked on the PI PC.)

edit: added info about the case

Debug log can be found in /storage/.kodi/temp/kodi.log You can retrieve it over ssh (you must enable it in settings).

I tested OPiLite and there was no issues. Wifi works, video playback works... I don't know what to suggest other than you should try even more SD cards/power supplies.

I installed Openelec on my Opi Lite. FIRST RUN it hang on init splash. ANOTHER force reboot it ran flawlessly. Working hdmi audio & audio out too by settings audio selection. Playing 1080p videos from usb drive.  Everything perfect. Just some hang halts occured. And addons not installing. Not updated . How to manually update the tar file? I LOVED it.
