I am wanting to do a headless install and have refered to http://www.goattack.com/tag/orange-pi/

The author mentions "Transfering the image to microUSB using the Linux Image Restore Tool.
What exactly is this tool and where do I get it.  I am running Mint Mate Distro and am moderatly competent at the CLI.

Thx in Advance,

Terry

Hi there,

You didn't mention your model, it could have helped.

Anyhow : when it comes to OS on the Orange Pi, don't try too fool around too much: sometimes even the images distributed on that website are broken. You better stick to the most official distros if possible.

Same goes for installation, so follow those instructions.

Even the author warns that "so in conclusion I was not able to make a concrete way of starting Orange PI for beginners".

No offense but if you're uncertain about how to burn an image to an SD card I'm afraid you gonna have some issues solving the upcoming problems.

Good luck anyway,
