I also think there is something not as it should be concerning the network. My be someone can save a test video locally and turn off all network to see how it performs without any Network traffic.  also look at at this answer here: https://forum.armbian.com/index. ... t&comment=31762
Did not have time to check if the right video driver is in use.

Problem is that it takes a lot of time, especially if you want proper solution (hint: my version of Kodi 16 was not). I rather spend time helping community with drivers, which means that some day, Kodi won't need much changes to run on H3.

In the meantime, maybe thc013 will manage to port it for old kernel as mentioned in that thread with 172 pages.

If compile instructions on that site directly reflects the packages then it is only software decoded (my patches for Kodi 17, where I only made possible to run Kodi, nothing more).

How to add audio driver for opi plus2e?
Im successfuly install kodi17 but not hdmi audio output. /etc/asound.conf not working

Trying on debian not working (install kodi17), this tutor only for ubuntu
