I have 6 orange pi zero's being used as computer nodes under a raspberry pi 3 head node. The little cluster is awesome, but I'm having trouble powering it off!

The Orange Pi Zero's are running debian server, as downloaded through OrangePi. I've had no trouble at all, except when I shutdown, the orange pi zero's just reboot.

I remember something about my raspberry pi, that when I try to shutdown, the operating system successfully logs out and shuts down, but doesn't cut power to the board, which has to be done manually. That is fine, and not my problem with the Orange Pi Zero. When I use "shutdown" or "poweroff" commands on the Orange Pi Zero, it logs out / shuts down, and then immediately restarts. Therefore, there is no safe time for me to pull the power plug.

Any help is appreciated!
Thanks.

This has been mentioned in armbian forums.
If you have connected serial ports or others, then there is the possibility of backfeeding power through these connections.
This will hinder shutdown.
