booting problem in orangpi iot 2g

Hi ,
   I am working with the Orangepi 2g iot and i followed the steps as:
--Downloaded the ubantu server image
--Copied in the SD card (8GB class 6 & 4GB class 4)
--Inserted in the orangepi iot and it changed the boot seection to boot from SD card
--connected the serial cable to view in the hyperterminal


and the final output is some junk values and blank in the serial screen. i changed the cable four times and i changed the bps(115200bps & 921600bps) also but the output remains same no changes in it.
in boot selection pin if i select boot from NAND the LED is powerin up if i changed to SD card selection LED is not Powering up, but the processor is heating, i have tried with the ARMBIAN and UBUNTU 16.04 images downloaded from the orangepi server. eventhough is changed these but my output remains same only like some symboles in putty terminal and the [/0x%] it will be output in the cutecom terminal.
HELP ME to come with better solutions for this booting and the power led problem
