I currently work for a large company as a database administrator (PostgreSQL) .

My Son Likes to grow Carnivorous Plants like : Sarracenia,Nepenthes, Dionaea Muscipula

We are currently working on a project

Currently we had successfully developed and deployed anarduino UNO with

soil Moisture, relay to operate water pump and TemperatureSensor.

We would like to control with a web browser the Arduinoboard . We would like to use domoticz with a my sensors wifi gateway

The technical requirements will be the following :

Orange PI :

Domoticz
Camera

Arduino ESP8266

Mysensors WIFI Gateway
soil Moisture
relay to operate water pump
Temperature Sensor
Light Sensor

The main advantage of the Orange PI over the Raspberry PI isthe on-board WiFi module which eliminates the need for external hardware.

The power switche is also a nice feature for mobile device.The Li-Po Battery support and the EMMC flash are also an other big advantage.

I am a huge supporter of open source. I would be more thanhappy to share anything with Orange PI community.

My mom is just a plant fanatic and loves her little garden very much. The gift idea may be trivial, but she was thrilled with it. I found fleur ami, and it took me a long time to find fiberglass garden pots to go with it. Luckily, I was advised a cool site called getpotted, with a nice price. And I was able to please my mom.
