The only kernel I have successfull built is for the banana pi using igorpec script.  That downloaded everything automatically.  Can you point me to where do I get the allwinner sdk for orange pi plus and if there are instructions on how to build it?

Laboris,
I still see no create_sdcard script in the make_linux.tar.gz.
I unzipped it then grep the tar for it:
mark@orangepi:~/kernel-build$ tar -tvf make_linux.tar | grep create
-rwxrwxr-x boris/boris   12149 2015-06-23 18:00 make_linux/create_image

Not create_sdcard, only create_image.  Is that the actual file name of the script?

Thanks.
Mark

Problems with Debian

Edited by Petr at 2015-6-25 16:26

loboris, thank you very much for the debian image.

I found thre problems. I am linux newbie, so please be patient.

1) I can't mount SATA drive using /etc/fstab on boot. I think it could be this problem https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=161814. When I add "noauto" attribut, it boot normaly (just without mounting the drive). Is there any boot log?

  1. # OrangePI fstab
  2. tmpfs /tmp  tmpfs nodev,nosuid,mode=1777  0 0

  3. UUID=a4b59a60-ccbb-41e1-a7e7-b048bf57b482  /mnt  ext4 defaults,noatime,nodiratime,noauto 0 1
Copy code

2) Worse problem  - it stops working randomly. I can't ping it. I can only unplug and plug the power. Where I can find logs, that could help me to determine the problem?

3) Process "kswapd0" has 100% CPU sometimes. I foud this "solution":
  1. echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches
Copy code

But is there any other way?

Thank you very much.

Best regards,
Petr

Can you mount your sata drive manualy

Yes.

Yes, the UUID was taken from lsblk -f command.

Can you check and post the output of blkid

  1. /dev/mmcblk0: PTUUID="b5707bba" PTTYPE="dos"
  2. /dev/mmcblk0p1: LABEL="BOOT" UUID="8F70-2C23" TYPE="vfat" PARTUUID="b5707bba-01"
  3. /dev/mmcblk0p2: LABEL="linux" UUID="4b073354-7de4-4f82-937b-4c67d8c7b876" TYPE="ext4" PARTUUID="b5707bba-02"

Have you changed anything about swap ?

No. FYI "cat /proc/swaps" shows:

  1. Filename                                Type                Size        Used        Priority
Copy code

Are you running something when it stops ?

NEW

To easily change resolution please download scripts_bin.zip from Mega.
Unpack.
Copy the file whitch matches your bord and resolution to SD Card FAT partition (where the uImage is).
Rename it to script.bin
