Hi,
I have some issues with my Pi+  when I am connecting SSD with external supply by SATA adaper. Before connecting power supply to SSD i can see sata adapter in lsub:
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 05e3:0718 Genesys Logic, Inc. IDE/SATA Adapter
But after connecting power supply to SSD in dmesg I can see:
  1. [  129.739633] ehci_irq: highspeed device disconnect
  2. [  129.739859] usb 3-1: USB disconnect, device number 2
Copy code

and IDE/SATA Adapter in lsub disappear
  1. ### lsusb:<pre style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Bus 006 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
  2. Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
  3. Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
  4. Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
  5. Bus 002 Device 002: ID 1a40:0101 Terminus Technology Inc. Hub
  6. Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
  7. Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub</pre>
Copy code

My external supply adapter to SSD works fine with additional USB/SATA adapter this is no supply fault. Can this be some HW issue ? link to logs: http://ix.io/13Sq
