Hello,

I have orange pi PC, purchased from Aliexpress with power adapter, I installed Armbian downloaded from Orangepi site, however it always hang after a few days. When it happens, nothing reponds, I can not visit pi-hole or ssh login.

I tried different SD card, and added a cooling fan, but these didn't help. And it seems to crash more and more often.

Then I decided to try ubuntu, also downloaded from Orangepi site. About once a day, it will also hang, although it behaves differently. I cannot ssh login, but pi-hole still works. When I connect usng HDMI cable, I see it has the following error message:

rcu: INFO: rcu_sched detected stalls on CPUs/tasks:

mmc0: Card Stuck in wrong State ! mmcblk0 card_busy_detect status:0x900

If I power it off and power it on , it will come back to normal until next time.

I have tried to use crontab to schedule daily reboot, however if above error happens, the reboot doesn't work.

Can you suggest what the issue is, how can I fix this?

Note, I have tried 3 SD cards, 2X 32G kingston, 1x4G Adata. These cards work fine on other devices, so I think the issue is not my sd card.

I used Ubuntu Image (updated:2018-04-09) from Orangepi website under Orange Pi PC section

When I log in, it says Ubuntu 16.04 LTS ( GNU/Linux 5.3.5+armv71)

just tried a different version
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (GNU/Linux 3.4.113+ armv7l)

this also have similar issue, it will also have similar issue after a while.

So far no matter what OS I use, I always have the same issue, this indicates the board itself is the issue, not OS. The only solution is to reboot each time it's stuck, which is not actually a solution

I did use ARMBIAN, and this is actually the first OS I tired, it also has issues. The problem with ARMBIAN is that everything will become non-responsive ( Pi-hole, printing, SSH login) while ubuntu at least have pi-hole still functions.

Now I am thinking to buy a Raspberry pie even it's more expensive.
