OPi Zero became unresponsive

I have Orange Pi Zero working 24/7 since 2017. It worked well, but two weeks ago ssh stopped working, and soon after that it stuck in boot loop. I thought it's because of some corrupted files, so I made a backup and wrote a clean Armbian on that SD card. It booted up and worked OK, so I thought I could migrate my files and redeploy my bot.

But, ssh started lagging. First it was like a sudden freeze every couple of commands and my input showing up a few seconds later. Then the lag increased, ssh started dropping connections sometimes or not accepting new connections. It seems that it works OK when I turn it on, but the longer it works, the less responsive ssh becomes. `reboot` does not really fix that, only `shutdown` for a while.

I've replaced SD card with a fresh one. It seems to work better, but lags are still there, even though they are shorter. And this is with a completely clean system with nothing really running, so I'm afraid after I set some things up, it won't work again.

What could it be? What can I do to figure out what is it (maybe there are some benchmarks or tests)? How can I try to fix it (if it is overheating or some other problem)?

It was pretty hot when it first stopped responding. I tried to record temperature measurements on clean system for a day, it was in 40-50 degrees range. With a new SD card it usually shows 45-47 degrees. It seems the lags are worse if temperature is higher, but on new SD card I didn't really experienced heavy lags yet.

After writing here I didn't really do anything with it. It was running clean Armbian, and the only thing I tried to use it for was an ssh tunnel to access my desktop via RDP. Connection was very unstable, so I stopped trying to use it, and left it idling.

I was sshing there sometimes to check uptime, and the last time I checked it was like 23 days or something.

Today I decided to bump the thread, and found out that it's unavailable (simliarly to how it was before). I did hard reset and started pinging, and only got this:

So it kinda stopped working all of a sudden, while running clean system with nothing heavier than an ssh daemon. And after a reset it even stops responding to pings after a few responses!

Is it beyond recovering or is there something I can do to make it work?
