There is no SuperSu. It's not rooted. Which image have you used? I tested this: https://s3.amazonaws.com/pcduino ... 4_8188-20150608.img and it's not rooted

Ok, I figured it out. Indeed 8189 is rooted, but 8188 is not. However, 8188 seems to be smootcher than 8189.

On orangePi PC video is not smootch in Kodi. I also tested other KitKat image and it was slightly better.
8188 seems to be smootcher, I did not tested it carefully though. I dropped it immediately because it's not rooted.
