Fortunately the network disruptions ended in between (but according to Steven we have a bit to wait )

Back to the camera modules. Still doesn't work. This link seems to need authentication: http://przeklej.org/file/viHaWA/IMG.20151120.163623.jpg or something like that (therefore you might see images while we not).

In the meantime I ordered another Orange Pi PC together with Xunlong's camera module and have also written to the seller that I need the camera for the PC. I hope they deliver this 'expansion board' together with the camera module.

Does anyone knows whether the Xunlong's GC2035 camera module works when the Orange Pi will be fed with just 4.5V? We're thinking about using passive PoE (Power over Ethernet) with 5.5V and over larger distances there might voltage drops occur.

I hope that images are now visible to all , I failed to upload images to forum.

CSI cameras are fed with 1,8 and 2,8 volts, there are voltage stabilizers on board so I think it will be OK. Just provide enough amps

My camera showed up today - so ... Opi-PC with camera module 1553371, under Fedora 22.  On boot the system doesn't see the module, that I can tell.  lsusb nothing, i2cdetect  0 or 1 says nothing there.  The camera & cable are not keyed so I assume it doesn't matter the direction.  Reading these few threads on the camera it talks about FEX - Oh, just fix fex - I don't have a clue.  Search & Google haven't been any help.  Step by step direction please.
Thanks

And with that I found http://www.cnx-software.com/2015 ... -linux-with-motion/ and I've got a /dev/video0 that doesn't output anything. I'll keep plugging.
However "motion" is not to be found....
