Hi

Same here, can't find an image that works with cec on PA14 / PA21. Please help :-)

My soldering solution, no wire cutting:

Best regards

I have made some progress in writing a driver for the build in hardware cec. Sending messages does not work yet, but i was able to receive a broadcast from TV.

Now i can send and receive with my driver. But it seems that it has some timing problems. I hope i get this sorted out when cleaning up the driver from the debug code. After cleanup and adding some comments i will release the code from the driver and my libcec patch.

I had some problems with receiving messages. I needed some days extra with testing. I hope i can release it on the weekend.

I have pushed my driver to github: https://github.com/jodamm/linux/tree/sun8i
A modified libcec is also on github: https://github.com/jodamm/libcec
Or here are patches : patch for H3 hdmi cec driver and patch for libcec
This is still WIP but i have tested it successfully with OrangePi PC and a Samsung TV. I have done my testing under Armbian, so i don't know how it will work under Android.

Great! I will soon create a test image for my OpenELEC fork and ask people to test it, if this is ok with you? That way we will get at least some feedback. Later on I would like to include this patch to my H3 linux repo where I collecting all sorts of useful patches.
