I just added support for MT7601. Can anyone please test it and report if it works? I don't have such dongle.

Can someone confirm that CPU temperature works correctly in Kodi? I always see 37F, which is clearly incorrect.

Hi.

I compiled OpenElec from available sources. It works ok. But I want to add support for DVB tuners. Unfortunately, these modules are not added by default.
I'm trying to edit the .config file in the folder linux-awh3-3.4, but during compilation is overwritten by default. How do I add these modules?

Previously compile the kernel from loboris for Debian Linux and there was a script config_linux_kernel.sh, where I can choose the modules you need.

Configuration file for kernel can be found in projects/H3/devices/OPi2/linux/linux.arm.conf (replace OPi2 with OPiPC or OPiPlus respectively). Every change to that file will be respected. After that, use normal build command for OpenELEC. Do you have any other problem?

Nothing special. You just have to zero out the micro sd card using dd command and retry flashing the same image.

First of all, thank you so much for your work on this build for Kodi/OpenELEC/Orange Pi.  I have found it very useful.

I'm playing back a 4k video encoded in HEVC which Kodi recognizes.  My 4k TV's info however shows only 720p and it's a little choppy.  Is there anyway to confirm that it is playing it in 4k and that hardware decoding is taking place?

Thanks,
Michael

That was too fast

I was looking at the official driver from the  below link as I was not sure about that github code:

http://cdn-cw.mediatek.com/Downl ... .4_20130913.tar.bz2

Please find the package.mk attached in case we decide to switch to this one:

Also I was thinking about removing all the modifications to OpenELEC-OPi2/distributions/OpenELEC/options and then move the changes to OpenELEC-OPi2/projects/H3/options. It's not that important but will help to merge back the changes to official tree in an optimistic long distant future )).

Meanwhile I have made an updated image or OPI-PC so that people can test the mt7601 device and report at the below location.
