My hero!  My OPi has been collecting dust because none of the distros had wifi so I couldn't get online.  Now I'm up and running with an AirPlay server and some speakers, and life is grand!  I will say the wifi connection is kinda spotty at times, but it could just be the location of the OPi relative to the modem.  Or is anyone else having wifi issues?

Thanks, and keep up the good work!

Dist upgraded to Sid. No more wifi working (demesg complains about missing firmware but firmware files are there). Also video driver does not work any longer, because x server was updated.

First of all, thank you Jacer, your distro is the better I tried.

There's no possibility to run kodi?

I've installed Kodi from repository
  1. sudo apt-get install kodi
Copy code

but is not possible start it
When i try to run it i see this :
  1. orangepi@OrangePI:~$ kodi
  2. /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/kodi/kodi-xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output default
  3. libEGL warning: MESA-LOADER: malformed or no PCI ID

  4. libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to open lima (search paths /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/dri:${ORIGIN}/dri:/usr/lib/dri)
  5. Segmentation fault
  6. Crash report available at /home/orangepi/kodi_crashlog-20160117_200430.log
  7. orangepi@OrangePI:~$
Copy code

Is android still the only solution to run kodi?

I disagree, I prepared OpenELEC with Kodi which has HW decoding. If you want complete open source solution there is also kodi based on libvdpau on kodi forum (doesn't support H3 yet).

Everything is possible if you have enough time and knowledge. However, I have no intentions to do it. You can try to port OSMC (based on Debian Jessie).

HI,

would it be possible to post the kernel configuration of the Jessie-image here?

I want to rebuild a kernel from the loboris-sourcen, which has the same features
as that of the Jessie image plus some additions.

Thank your very much in advance for anyhelp!
Best regards,
mcc
