As some of the members here are speculating  about whether there exists any voltage regulator on new upcoming "OP-1/Lite " , yes there IS one external regulator but its different part number then the ones used in other/present  OPi products .. OP-1/Lite now uses "Sy8113b" which supports "1.1v & 1.3v" operations only ... and that seems sufficient ...

Yes the voltage selection will now be done by GPIOs , arrangment will be like   " FEX -> GPIO -> Sy8113b " and as per my information hard coded relation between Clock/Core voltages will be  >>
"1.2GHZ -> 1.3V "
" 624Mhz -> 1.1V"

OP-1 is currently under mass production and will be released on 25th Jan 2016 , Op-Lite is still under development/testing and will be released soon after OP-1 ....
