of course ...before to choose that board I have seen a lot of similary system such as banana , raspberry , beaglobone but at the end I have choosen the orange pi plus 2 ....also because I don't like so much the banana's

Someone can tell me if this SATA hard disk is compatible with Orange ? I think yes but I want to have a feedback ....

Hi there

I dont have a SSD SATA right now so i can't tell, but you should read this, there are some information about the USB-to-SATA driver that the OPI PLUS has, that i presume is the same as the OPI PLUS 2, someone in the forum said that he hook a 120 SSD sata to the OPI PLUS.

The orange pi plus 2 has 16 Gb of MMC . Can I use this memory to store the operating system such as a hhd ?
My opinion is that micro SD card is not reliable for long time application .
I mean ....Install the U-Boot into sd card but the OS and data or databases into MMC , May I do that?

You can install the OS in the emmc, just use this command

sudo install_to_emmc

Copy code

this command is provided by @loboris which creates a whole set of images for the different OPI (link), in the link there are some usefull information (such as this command). some of them are missing, you can find them here.

Yes, but what are you looking for, or more precisely what command do you want?, executing iwlist only display the list of all commands for this program (usage). I can help but you need to be more specific with your request.

Hi Logan,

How did you get the ethernet to work ? I just got the same board and ethernet is not working but Wifi is working. I'm using the uImage for OPI-2 (OPI-2-mini). Also, video with 1080p is jittery while watching youtube. Could you please share your experience.

ok I got my orange pi plus 2 today ....nice !

sudo install_to_emmc
and everythings are ok .
Now I would like to resize the monitor because the icon od application are too downstere
