Does anyone knows, a repository for RetroArch Addon for Openelec-Orange PI, or a good rom-emulator manager for Openelec-Orange PI,  or where i can get a updated RetroArch Addon for Openelec-Orange PI?

After running the addon for first time, in "storage\.kodi\addons\script.gamestarter\resources\bin"
replace the retroarch file with this one https://www.dropbox.com/s/5p9cwxrhgfaw0jd/retroarch?dl=0

I remember something being mentioned about Retroarch on the Facebook group.

This was the "tutorial" by Lukasz:
firstly via ssh:
wget http://misapuntesde.com/res/AdvLauncher_uLySeSS.zip
unzip AdvLauncher_uLySeSS.zip -d /
rm AdvLauncher_uLySeSS.zip
killall -9 kodi.bin

after go to openelec, programs, install from zip,and instal this file

You can try this addon https://github.com/bite-your-idols/Gamestarter-Pi/releases
Originaly it's for rpi but I replaced the retroarch binary to another one and it works fine on my OPiPC.

Great Momo! It works great, withi gamestarter 2.0.0!

I would like to know how did you get this retroarch (binary)? Did you build it yourself?

Do you have this binary compatible with newer version of gamestarter (2.0.2 for example)?

EDIT

Edited by justiceiro at 2016-6-14 07:22

using the momo method, i got the retroarch working, but i can't play gba games on it. Everytime i try, the retroarch closes and the kodi restart. Am I missing the place where i should put the gba_bios.bin (alreadly confirmed that the bios has the same md5) ? Where I can get a log to see why is retroarch closing? The name of the game btw: "riviera, the promissed land", the U version

besides, i was looking foward to play gba game with my remote. The remote alreadly work great in the kodi interface, it can't work on the retroarch envolriment too?

EDIT: now its working, i just need to put the gba_bios.bin file in "~/emulators/bios".
the problem is: no audio, neither in snes games nor in gba games. Still trying to get the retroach to reconize my remote, however.

EDIT2: it seems that the problem when it tries to run

  1. modprobe snd_bcm2835
Copy code
it gives the error

  1. modprobe: FATAL: Module snd_bcm2835 not found in directory /lib/modules/3.4.112
Copy code
the solution is to update the firmware and kernel to a new version, but i don't think taht i have a old version of neither. So now what should i do?

I tried to do a addon for kodi following the info from Momo (i replaced the file script.gamestarter/resources/bin/retroarch with the binary linked in Momo's reply).
For now I can't test, but if someone wants do it....
- download script.gamestarter-V2.0-OLE-OPi.zip
-  select "install from zip" in Settings>Addons menu. The first time the addon is launched it will perform some settings. The first time the addon is launched it will perform set-up . Then copy your roms and bios to /storage/emulators/ folder via ftp or samba and reboot.

It’s always interesting to see how people use Orange Pi boards in totally different ways — from simple media centers to more experimental setups. I like reading threads like this because you often pick up small practical tips that aren’t in official docs. During my own downtime between projects, I sometimes switch gears completely and follow sports or live odds just to reset my brain. I’ve been using thamesweb for that, mostly checking lines casually rather than betting seriously. It’s kind of the same curiosity-driven habit, just applied to a different hobby.
