Orange pi 5. Permission denied, please try again.

Orange pi 5 installed properly in conjunction with official documentation.
Operation system: Orange Pi 1.1.6 Jammy with Linux 5.10.110-rockchip-rk3588 / Ubuntu
Usage: CPU and SSD memory in low usage but operates as Media Server 24/7.
Orange installed behind the router, port forwarding setted up.
Normal operation - two monthes with access through the ssh.

Today, during to connection through the SSH I got a message: Permission denied, please try again.

All access details (login name and password) was not changed by me - 100%. I am writing down all my access details very carefully.

But now my access is closed - "Permission denied, please try again"

What can happends with access to Orange pi 5 with a time and does any one had simillar probles with an access?

Make sure you are 100% sure your access details are right, no CAPS LOCK keys etc (in my case one of the shift keys doesn't work with VNC causing occasional confusion!)

If still no access try rebooting.

If still not try via root account.

If still no access you can inspect the SDCard in seperate linux machine,were you will be able to check the last change date on the /etc/passwd file, and see if looks corrupt.

I also encountered the same situation. After a long time of not logging in, I was denied access and I had to register for another account to be able to access here.
