Hello, I am new to orange pi and linux.
I am using a windows computer and I installed an ubunto desktop image on my orange pi one. I want to SSH into the orange pi but don't have direct access to the router because it belongs to my landlords, as a result I decided to connect to the OPi directly. So I connected it directly to my windows computer, and I got the private IP address for it, but when I tried to SSH putty gave me a fatal error. The SSH service on the OPi works, I confirmed it when I went to my mom's house and plugged it in to the router and was able to SSH in without any problems. So my question is, how can I directly SSH into the OPi if I don't have the router available to me but through a direct ethernet connection, or an other method?
I'd like to further mention that I was able to ping the OPi, so yes it is connected to my computer, I just can't SSH to it.
