I have just got am oramge pi plus 2se and the upgrade button has fallen off. The board still boots and is usable but will the loss of the button mean I can't load an os to the emmc?

Hi, you could use the following command to write OS into EMMC. Hope it could help you.
#!/bin/bash
if [ "$(id -u)" != "0" ]; then
   echo "Script must be run as root !"
   exit 0
fi
echo ""
