Hi.
I've noticed that sunxi_gmac Ethernet speed limited to 100Mbit in this image.
Is it correct? And is it done for some reason?
Is it possible to get full 1 Gb Ethernet in next builds?

Hello everyone,

I just bought 2 orange pi pc 2 boards and the plan is to install docker on them. I used the new official debian server image but it seems that currently it is not possible, or at least I couldn't figure out how to install docker on them. Apart from that the image seems to work fine although I didn't manage to get a display through hdmi.(I don't really need it)

Does anybody know how to install docker on these board?

there things which must be done to install, you need to tell us what you did, and where it failed.

best to go to the docs for docker and start there
https://docs.docker.com/engine/installation/linux/debian/

I don't expect that there is an official docker .deb package that can be installed on the orange pi pc 2. As I said I did try.
There are a couple of OS-es that do support docker for the raspberry pi (e.g HypriotOS, Armbian) but from the info that I found they won't work with orange pi pc 2.

Does anybody know what are the current options in order to run docker on that board?
Is building the docker binaries from source an option?

Hi.

I just tested the V1.0.0

Update and upgrade work well. There is a bug when you open the software list (error message, but it works perfectly). Ethernet network is ok too.

I ran a sysbench, here are the results.

OPi PC 2 (H5) under Ubuntu (microSD Sandisk Extrem 16 GB) :
  1. orangepi@Orangepi:~$ uname -a
  2. Linux Orangepi 3.10.65 #55 SMP PREEMPT Fri Nov 18 16:17:28 CST 2016 aarch64 aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux
Copy code
  1. orangepi@Orangepi:~$ sysbench --test=cpu run
  2. sysbench 0.4.12:  multi-threaded system evaluation benchmark

  3. Running the test with following options:
  4. Number of threads: 1

  5. Doing CPU performance benchmark

  6. Threads started!
  7. Done.

  8. Maximum prime number checked in CPU test: 10000

  9. Test execution summary:
  10.     total time:                          14.7419s
  11.     total number of events:              10000
  12.     total time taken by event execution: 14.7364
  13.     per-request statistics:
  14.          min:                                  1.47ms
  15.          avg:                                  1.47ms
  16.          max:                                  2.19ms
  17.          approx.  95 percentile:               1.50ms

  18. Threads fairness:
  19.     events (avg/stddev):           10000.0000/0.00
  20.     execution time (avg/stddev):   14.7364/0.00
Copy code

Here are some results provided by another user on french forum hardware.fr :

  1. rk3066  opi(H3)  rpi3    opi(H3)/armbian    rpi2
  2.   15     16,35   18,3         21,5          29,3
Copy code

One of the OPi PC is at full frequency (1.6 GHz) and use official OS, the other is probably at 1.2 GHz (armbian).

By the way, the black colour is pink/purple on my screen. Most of the release on the H3 board have the same problem, but a few have been corrected (dunno how to). I guess it is a GPU driver issue with my HDMI to DVI adapter.
