hello,

I have orange pi one. I have installed php and it is working ok. the only problem is that I cant run commands using exec(), shell_exec().
I have tried simple commands like exec("ls"), exec(" echo 'hello' ") but it will not show it.
i have tried to clear all the disabled_functions in the php.ini in /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini

nothing worked for me.

what can I do?

I think I know how to solve this problem but I am not shure it is possible.

I think if I could update th PHP to version 5.6 the system calls will work.

I managed to build and install PHP 5.6 on raspbian from http://stackoverflow.com/questions/31280912/how-to-install-php-5-6-on-raspbian-wheezy

the problem is that I'm missing libapache2-mod-php5 version 5.6 .. which not exist. I dont know where is the source for this..

I managed to use systen calls with php 5.6 / php 7 on armbian..
