A new board from Xunlong would be released soon, which named Orange Pi WIN.
This new board could run on Windows IOT.
Estimate cost is 25USD do not include shipping cost.
Xunlong team is preparing the specs data and all infomation, it should be released in one or two days!

Yep, that is absolutely correct.
2 MB flash isn't that useless I think, although it would be bette ...

On aliexpress we can find USB BT 4.0+WIFI N for ~$5, the problem is Xunlong made a specific firmware or use Pine64 ? (mostly for Win IoT, in this case BT/WIFI of orange are useless)
What can we do with 2MB flash, just a bootloader to load firmware from USB, did Xunlong provide tools or bootloader for this small flash ?
On aliexpress you can find 32Mb for $0.20 & 64Mb for $0.40 (public price not wholesale price) , why put a too small 16Mb ?

If you consider Pine's "flat shipping rate" OPi Win is actually cheaper than 1GB Pine.
I think the ...

For pine64 is fixing shipping cost, not for Xunlong,  for 2 boards & more pine64 is cheaper, & if Xunlong use pine64 firmware wifi/bt are useless (spi flash is too small & useless), you'll have just a 1GB pine64 at $19.

Lol what a laughter this is again, it going downwards instead of upwards , just try to make some proper support in android and linux before you think to copy the windows from the banana and pine and put a orange logo into it .

even the other DIY boards companies got sometimes better support from their alwinner buisness unit , just look at the invitation from tlim he arranged for the linux-sunxi community and where icenowy went to ,that is how to get customers and community support.

or look at the mali support for the h5 or h3 why don't have xulong already got the 6rp0 driver from their business unit even blobbed  for their DIY customers who tries to stay as clean as possible , no what do you get some buddy drm to get a old mali driver hicks

or look at the kodi support it is the work of fanatics like jernej or mosterata not from xulong it is a shame .

yeah i know that the board is a DIY board ,

more expensive than pine64

Edited by frolix92 at 2017-3-14 19:26

more expensive than pine64 2GB, only 1GB RAM, and maybe AP6212 is not manage in firmware (all firmware, including IoT because you use Pine64 IoT firmware)

Here are some ideas to add to the documentation that is being prepared and that I believe can help the development community, especially with the novelty about Orange Pi Win. Battery support in general, and another respect to iOT Windows support

Lithium battery: - Working voltage range. Example. 3.0v-4.2v.
Battery charge function? If so, what would be the voltage cuttoff.

Camera support. Today I have seen that the SDK of the camera has been published. The support with Windows IoT, is native? Any driver? Could there be some kind of communication via I2C, SPI? Some additional documentation.

Regarding other hardware and drivers for Windows IoT Core. Audio In / Out. Video out. USB, SPI / I2C control for other integrated devices (2MBit SPI Flash).

What other drivers / hardware is supported? Ethernet, WI-FI, Bluetooth, etc ...?

I think the next hobo desktop would be the H5 though, not A64. I'd rather wait for that one.
But then there are the Mali drivers (not), so I don't know.
