Attempting to flash linux to the orangepi using:
OrangePi-RK3399_Linux4.4_V1.0_2018_1030.tar.gz
flashing the

OrangePi-rk3399_Debian9_20181016_HDMI IN.tar.gz image.

using ubuntu 16.04 as the computer I am flashing with.

I never get as far as flashing the image because I get a set of errors with the rkdeveloptool:
  1. ~/Desktop/rk-linux$ ./build/flash_tool.sh  -p system -i out/system.img
  2. PARTITIONS OFFSET: 0 sectors.

How do I resolve this? I have redownloaded and extracted both file sets.

Cheers.

Seems like an encoding issue.
This is a pure guess but have you tried to set your codepage to unicode/UTF-8. Remember: The makers are chinese and they may probably have left some non-latin characters.
