Hi,

I have bought the camera for the RK3399, and would like to keep my machine as-is without reflashing.
I tried to build a new kernel for the board on the board, but failed.
I rebuilt the kernel with the new configuration for the camera on a X86_64 machine successfully.
Now, how could I install that new kernel on my RK3399?
Let's say I copy the whole kernel directory somewhere on the machine.
Now what?
make install?
Just copy vmlinux somewhere and modify boot.cmd?

Thanks.

You can build your kernel as .deb files and the install it via dpkg

This is the generic Guide on how to do it on the Debian website: https://wiki.debian.org/BuildADebianKernelPackage
I myself got it working on other ARM Bords like the CHIP

I didn't know that, thanks a lot for the tip.
I may loose what I'm looking for by rebuilding the kernel to mainline (i.e. HDMI-IN, camera), but I will definitely try it.
