Thanks. It seems to accept the resolution but doesn't display anything.
I am going to keep working on it but I have tried every 1024x600 mode I can find so far on the net I think and none cause the console to appear.
To be able to rule this out you need at least 2 (better 3) displays. I've also a display that displays nothing when timings are only slightly incorrect. But another display shows at least resolution and timing info even if it's not able to show an image. But with my aforementioned settings it also worked with the cheap 7"-LCD accessible through HDMI. But maybe the displayboard is another one than yours.
Me got also the problem with low resolution. After boot and setup Orange Pi Lite on large screen, I choose the resolution 800x480 and reboot. But it display nothing
