I wish Steven Zhao would hire @Loboris to fix his download page. All the links for the OPi-PC are sketchy.

The image I found is not overly good. It takes over 3.4GB, It is Wheezy when Jessie is the state of the art version.
The image contains loads of packets I have no use. Wolfram and like.
I do not need GUI at all. It would be great if we could install Minibian here, but Raspbian images don't run in Orangepi.
Just now I'm cleaning the image for my own use. So far I have cleaned about 2.2GB off the original PrangePi PC image leaving 1.2GB.

I have now gone through the Raspibian image for OPI PC and it is not good.
Somebody has installed BananaPi packet to his OPI PC on a broken 4GB SD card. Then he has installed a bunch of programs. It seems that he has been interested in mathematics and electronics. He have not even bothered to make any carbage collection.
The image contain a 2MB piece in the begining. I just wonder why and what does it contain. Or is it there only because of the broken card.
The partitions on the card are of non-standard size. No tool can do anything to them.
The raspi-config -tool is some old version. Trying to use any Advanced options locks the system. Resize does not work.

Of this personal installation he has built an image and uploaded it on the OPI PC pages.

I'm sorry to see that a good board is spoiled with this kind of image.
I'm going to build one myself ASAP.

I do not need GUI, so I removed all unnecessary and now my own packet is about 1.1GB. Next I'll try to upgrade to Jessie.

- There is rather much work to do before you get Raspian work in OrangePi PC, if you get one.
I managed to strip the material running in OrangePI to 1.2GB and upgrade to Jessie. Next I try to save that to an image.

Hi mistofeles,
I bought my Orange Pi PC because it is advertised as being able to run Raspbian. So far I can run Ubuntu Mate ok, but Raspbian does nothing at all, after several tries with different installs. So how far have you got with your image? I would love to be able to make it work!
Thanks, Ian
