Improving Android 5.1 image for OpiPC2 H5

To all owners of an Orange Pi PC2 with H5, I just want to share this

I am not an Android expert, but I am trying to improve the Android image for the new Orange Pi PC2, H5. It works fine but I does't have Gapps.

START:
I have downloaded the official Android image, here: http://www.orangepi.org/download ... 5664dbad83a77c.html

ROOT:
After many attempt with different methods I succeed, by using KingoRoot for Windows, using the USB OTG from here: https://www.kingoapp.com/android-root/download.htm
This tool will leave you a couple of junk App installed, but they can be easily remove.

GAPPS:
I reached to install a minumum Gapps, but when I browse in the Play store, most Apps say are not suitable to my device. I think, maybe I didn't installed the correct Gapps file, or maybe I'm missing something else.
Here is the method I've used:
Downloaded Gapps file Gapps-lp-20150314-signed.zip from here: https://www.guidebeats.com/2015/ ... om-rom-google-apps/
Extracted, and copy the system/* folder, somewhere in my OpiPC2.
Coonected my OpiPC2 USB OTG to my PC and run: adb shell, from here I used bash commands to:
1. mount OpiPC2 /system/ folder as rw
2. copy my Gapps system/* folder to OpiPC2 /system/
3. restore ownership and persmission to the files copied
4. remount OpiPC2 /system as ro and reboot
Gapps installed, but as I mention before, most Apps say not suitable for this device. Download this image link here and flash it with Win32DiskImager or similar: https://mega.nz/#!Rs5EUbRA!aW5hU ... dBL3u0YpbVCE0X75hls

Any improvement is welcome.

I would like to add support for 8188eu Wifi dongle, but I haven't suceed til now.

Hi all !
My firmware version with original Kernel and worked Googl Play and LAN..
Not rooted and have play market error "cant install app on your device" for some app.
To fix problem - rooting with Kingo root installed on PC with OTG cable (2 min), and download and install Market Helper app

пишите чо не так короче и скоро будет полностью доделанная прошивка рутованная с гуглом и всякими плюшками.
собственно остается последний каверзный вопрос , не могу поднять navbar..
Кто знает в чем причина- пишите!

Тута Всё просто делается, или под рутом или через линукс

да, запустился твой образ, флешка тупила, но правда я ничего особо нового и не увидел, вот wifi и бар если ты туда запихнёшь, это да будет классно )) и блютуф ещё б тоже не помешал )

Тема про апельсинку на 4pda там в ней ещё и ссылка на группу в телеграмм - тоже можешь зайти и побыстрее пообщаться можно

Установил без проблем, все работает.
А как насчет Wi-Fi? он будет работать?

Чем лил ? Фениксом ? Мне пишут что работает ... да и у меня есть две апельсинки H5 под рукой , полет нормальный.кинь ссыль на ветку в 4PDA где ошибку обсуждают, внесу изменения в прошивку.

а что написать , у меня например на твой образ апельсинка не реагирует никак.. про bar не скажу, неполучалось
wifi тоже поднять не получилось
насчёт market helper - уже научились чинить play market без него и без рута
на 4pda заходи там много чего наобсуждали уже

Daniel can you give ISO of your final work. I have problem with Google Play, with any apk. I install gapps, but my problems not solves. when I try install any applications from play market, I see this attention - no device to install.

друг, установка гаппс не решила проблемы. я просто скопировал апк файл на флешку с уже установленным андроидом и запустил апк. я просто сразу не написал что все переделывать без рут, и вторым постом бодавил, а получилось будто бы я без рута установил все.

That ISO has installed Gapps, but it is not fully working: most Play Apps say "your device isn't compatible with this version".

The purpose of this threat is to share a method to Get Root and Install Gapps to OpiPC2 to the community with the aim that maybe someone would like to continue this work, so he or she doesn't have to start from zero, and maybe he or she gets the solution to fix these errors.

I am sorry if this Image doesn't work for you or it's not what you expected.

i don't have sd card right now to try my guesses.but maybe i found solution to play market about "your device isn't compatible with this version"
first install This PlayMarket on your image , market currently installed in your image not working for me
and try This to spoof your device to something else
theoretically this should work

Can you say how you setup this 5.1 image as i have tried several images, installing them using sdformatter and PhoenixCard_V3.1. I have not had a result yet ?
