I understand your need to edit the parameters on an already setup system instead of simply switching to another. I am hundreds of miles away from home and from my desktop computer where I have all my Orange Pi stuff (and Orange Pis), so I cannot help you with the script itself at the moment, but I remember I ended up not using it last year and edited the parameters myself. It was easy and straightfoward, simply used bin2hex to convert script.bin to .hex, edited the few lines that had to do with temperature and clock, converted script.hex back to script.bin, and voilà, no more overheating since then. One of my OPi PCs is currently running for over one hundred days since its last reboot, and all reboots so far have been due to power outages and problems with the power grid, never because of the device itself. It has always been connected to a properly grounded UPS, but even so some outages last hours and I have to turn everything off. Besides from that not a single glitch. Btw, I run loboris and jacer images, never had an issue.

Feel free to ask anything if you decide to edit script.hex yourself.

And for someone who is yet to choose an OS for a new install on an OPi, yes, I would probably suggest trying Armbian first. It's just that sometimes you already have too much time spent and there are very easy and simple solutions for your problems.

Cheers.
