This means nothing. There is nothing usable available. You can wait 2 yers, then check again, and hey, you will see there is still nothing usable available. This is pointless, sell your OPI andy better buy RaspberryPI

This is actually good!
This means something is happening on top level and it looks likesome official LibreElec devs are working on it

Think you didn't look well

if you check the different git repos you see that it is almost finished .

only what is not on the openelec repo is the hw codec .

but if you look a bit futher on other repos you see the hw support coming , a20 support is on the sunxi mailing list and in other git repos you see some h3 support coming.

and if you look around you can see that alwinner is making better contact with the sunxi community . like yesterday they released the H3 kernel 4.4 BSP

I tried to compile the Allwinner Branch myself yesterday and to my surprise it did fully build without Errors and i got an flashable Image. I tried it on Orange pi one, but it didn't boot up. Hopefully it will work when they are finished

OpenElec images are to old. I have build some LibreElec images myself based on Shaggy013's Opi_HW_7 Branch (https://github.com/alorbach/LibreELEC.tv/tree/Opi_HW_7_delta) which is running pretty fine and has far more working plugins than OpenElec. Feel free to use them from here: http://libreelec.1337-server.net/

However I would love to get latest LibreElect and Kodi working on Orange PI
.

Thanks @thc013, I am going to build and try this on my Orange PI One.
