It boots with the exact same speed as any other H2/H3 board and it mostly depends from SD card you used for the system.

Debian Jessie

Debian Stretch
Little faster. Better SD card and without USB hub containing wireless and BT

And you fail to see large download links? There are CLI or desktop images.

I have a image that boots orange pi zero h2 in 17 seconds from plugin, all I did was remove the folder with abunch of startup shell scripts and add skip login script, if im going to make a mini handheld no one is going to wait 43 seconds to play, (hopefully the 17 and plymouth based boot screen will do) What about the first 10 seconds on the pi zero h2 its not even showing anything on the screen I don't think its even trying the first 10 seconds can't remove those? but thanks for that demonstration I will contribute to armbian paypal.
If someone wants the boot image I made for pi zero let me know I don't want to just upload 1gb for no reason..

and sorry for hijacking your thread: OpiNoob32

i need a very small desktop image with only very few pre-installed software.

Than download command line interface image. Start armbian-config -> system and install minimal desktop from it. If this option is not present then you need to switch to night beta repository (or use armbian-config from here https://github.com/armbian/config) and do it again.

You will end up with the plain desktop without any applications besides xterm, settings, htop, ... very minimal. No browser or anything heavy.
